Besides being Owner of DancerInside; I am an IT Manager at one of the leading South African retailers.
I started my career in IT as a developer in the late 90’s working on what we called ‘cutting edge technologies’ at the time (man were we mistaken!)
I spent years working as a freelance developer catering for small organisations. My primary focus was to deliver cost effective solutions to the Small & Medium sized business market.
During this period I learn't to understand my clients, these were not multinational corporations that had millions in surplus… they were people like me, wanting to build a business on a tight budget.
I became seduced by the promised security of big organisations and slowly gave up all my freelance work.
I started the DancerInside as a concept late in 2010 with no clients, just a few ideas.
Where’s Everyone else?
It seems a bit strange to have a company with only one employee, but the company is just too small at this point in time to have more fulltime employees.
I have, in my network of resources, a host of experts: graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, developers, database administrators…the company is well connected.
In addition, DancerInside aims to develop potential black talent through an Enterprise Development scheme. (The details around the ED portion of the business still need to be confirmed.)
